Special Interests & Why I Love What I Do

My professional interests include Orthopedic surgery: total hip replacement, cruciate ligament repair (Tibeal Plateau Leveling Osteotomy and extracapsular techniques), fracture repair, surgical treatment of complex angular limb deformities, arthroscopy, and developmental and congenital diseases of the joints. General surgery: thoracic, cardiovascular, urogenital, gastrointestinal, and oncologic. Neurologic surgery: spinal surgery (fractures, luxations, disc herniations, and neoplasia), MRIs, and myelography.

I hope that I played a small role in bringing specialty medicine to Northeast Wisconsin. I was the first board certified veterinarian to come to the area. It's very rewarding to think that I've had a positive impact on the level of care pet owners in our community now have access to.

Personal

My wife and I have 2 children, Emma and Evan. When I am away from work you will find me in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, running, and winter sports. Our family also includes two cats and two dogs.
